Forney, TX
"I know that not every student will learn in the same way. For this reason, I customize lessons to fit the learning styles of individual students."
Experience
I have been playing musical instruments for 10 years, and I have been teaching acoustic and electric guitar, ukulele, and bass for the past 2 years.
Teaching Focus
I specialize in teaching students who are new to music and want to learn the fundamental skills they need to play the styles of music they will enjoy. My lessons will focus on teaching students strumming, finger exercises, and basic music theory so they can learn new songs easily and effectively.
Lesson Options
- Guitar (Acoustic/Electric)
- Ukulele
- Bass Guitar- $25 per weekly 30-minute lesson
- $50 per weekly 1-hour lessonFree trial lessons are offered to allow students to decide if they want to pursue further lessons.
Student Policy
- It is preferred that students be 6 years old or older.- For younger students, it is recommended to consider starting with ukulele lessons before transitioning to guitar or bass. It is easier to get started playing music on ukulele, and the skills learned from ukulele will help them learn guitar or bass.- Students are expected to bring their own instruments, as well as any papers, books, or other materials provided by the instructor.- Students are expected to practice and do homework assignments at home. If they are unable to practice outside of lessons, it can make lessons difficult, unpleasant, or unproductive for the students.- Students are expected to have a good and fun time during lessons. This will be strictly enforced.
Schedule Policy
- Lessons are available Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays after 2:00pm. Time slots will be arranged over email/text.- Lesson days and time slots will be set by school semester, meaning they may have to change for each subsequent semester. The instructor will be flexible and work as best as possible with the students’ schedules.- If a student is unable to attend a lesson, a makeup lesson may be scheduled at a different time. If a student’s schedule changes, then a new time slot can be arranged. Simply message the instructor concerning this.- If a student needs to cancel a lesson, the instructor must be contacted at least 12 hours before the lesson in order for the student to receive a refund. If there is a severe emergency preventing both the student from attending or contacting the instructor, simply communicate that to the instructor at an appropriate time.
